FluxCore™ Transverse Flux Motor (huh?)


 At the core of our unique design is an inner ring of copper. We’ve replaced the “rat’s nest” of copper wiring with a simple, low-resistance circular coil.


Conventional motors feature copper wrapped around steel. Our steel stator is wrapped around the outside of the low-resistance copper coil.


 Torque is optimized by increasing the number electromagnetic poles; we’ve, literally, decoupled the relationship between pole count (torque) and resistance (losses).

 What this all means is: Graco FluxCore, motors provide up to 8x more continuous torque at low speeds than conventional motors. Which increases torque and power density while minimizing size and resistance losses.
